I Heart You Back {DIY: cutout shirt}

I originally got this lovely idea from the adorable Lize Kay, when she posted this post on Valentine’s day. I forgot about it until I recently stumbled upon {my new favourite} blog, A Pair and a Spare, and came across this very similar post. Inspiration hit me like goose-pimples on a cold day, and I JUST.HAD.TO.DO.IT!

  • What you’ll need:

  1. A shirt that is made from a material that doesn’t fray – this will make the hard labor less as you do not have to sew the edges
  2. chalk
  3. sharp scissors
  • Step 1: Draw your shape on a shirt. Rather draw it too small and cut the shape bigger, that cutting it too big and effing up a fine shirt.

  • Step 2: Cut  and wear.

It’s as simple as that.

You do not have to do this exactly, here {and here and here } are more inspiring ideas.
