Beautiful miss Blair Eadie from Atlantic Pacific  has stolen my dream wardrobe. These shoes were inspired by her (here) Zara shoes, and makes me one step closer to owning her style  :D

Here is my DIY to copy her incredible style!

DIY: Black Toe Pump

1. Supplies: Nude pumps, acrylic paint, tape
2. With the tape, section the toe end that you want black. Paint the tip, and
3. Once it is dried, carefully peel the tape away
4. And Voila, prettiness!

I made this USB flash stick for my boyfriend for Valentines day… It might not be romantic but is pretty awesome!

DIY: Racecar USB stick

1. Supplies: A plastic toy racecare that can be take apart easily, a USB stick, silicon
2. Take the car and usb stick apart
3. cut the plastic so that the usb fits
4. Secure the usb with silicon. Note: Silicon will not damage the usb, other stong glues can
5. Clip the car together again
6. And voila, total awesomeness!

I am in a great-love relationship, but we’re not the most romantic pair. I made him toy USB stick for Valentine’s day (post to follow in this week) and started to feel bad today when all the heart and lovey-dovey where cluttering the Twitterverse. I got home, put my thinking cap on and quickly made him some “love potion”.

DIY: Heart Shape Tea Bags

1. Supplies: Coffee filter bags, teabags (I used Rooibos because it is delicious), needle and thread, string, and red paper
2. cut the coffee filter bag into hearts
3. hand stitch the hearts half way
4. empty the content of the teabag into the heart
5. Close stitch the heart, and add the string
6. Finish the teabag off with a little note of love.

DIY: Balloon Girl Brooch

1. Supplies: Clay that air dries, pearl beads (I broke an old bracelet for this), glue, pin
2. Form two legs and leave to dry
3. When dry, draw little shoes on, i used a pen
4. Glue the beads together
5. And glue the pin
6. And glue the legs

Several fashionistas have sported Prada’s latest print trend = the luscious red lips. Including it-girl, the beautiful Lana Del Rey.

Here’s a tutorial to make this trend.

DIY: PRADA/ Lana Del Rey Lip Print

1. Supplies: a white shirt/dress, an eraser, red fabric paint, a blade/X-Acto knife
2. Draw a lip shape onto the eraser
3. Carefully cut the shape out
4. Dip the rubber stamp into the fabric paint, and create your print. *Let the paint dry for 24hours, and iron on the inside for best results

There are several things I cannot stand, like French tips, dark lip liner and ugly doorstops. If you want to put something by your door, the least you can do is put something slightly appealing.  And as shown in this DIY, having a pretty doorstop is as simple as painting or drawing on a rock.

Here are the very basic steps:

• Supplies: River stones (they are smoother than mountain/garden rocks *duh*) and a fine-liner or tipex

• Use the rock

DIY: Carven cut out dress

• Supplies: A mini dress, scissors, needle and thread
• Cut a triangle out; remember to fit and mark before you cut
• hand stitch the edges and
• voila!

Tribal print is one of the hottest trends this side of summer (here, here and here) and Made in Pretoria would not be awesome if I did not include a DIY on it.

DIY: Trendy Tribal Print

• Supplies: An old denim, a pair of scissors, bleach, permanent marker
• Cut the denim’s legs off. Make sure you fit and mark where to cut before the damage is done.
• For a distress feel, make small cuts. Put the shorts through a washing machine to get full fray effect.
• lay the shorts’ ends in 1:1 water:bleach mix
• Wait until you get your desired colour. This can take a while, so please be patient
• With a permanent marker, draw the print on the shorts.
